Description
The Kosta was designed for people who still listen to music as a ritual.
Built in locally sourced Blackwood, the Kosta is low, calm and architectural. The open sections keep records close at hand, while the central area can be adapted around your turntable, amplifier and wider listening setup. Each cabinet is made to order, so the proportions, internal layout and timber selection can be resolved around your room and your system.
Unlike many record storage units, this is not a plywood box dressed up with a timber face. The Kosta is built as a piece of solid timber furniture, using material selected for strength, beauty and long life. The timber is carefully surfaced, refined by hand, and finished with an oil system that brings depth to the grain without covering the wood in a plastic film.
This piece is pictured in locally sourced Blackwood, a timber I return to often for its warmth, grain movement and depth. Kosta can also be made in locally grown Walnut or other carefully selected timbers where appropriate.
