Vanessa brings a gently curved solid timber headboard together with a frame sized around your mattress. A related curve in the rear legs carries the detail through the bed.

Built to work with the timber
Pegged, slotted tenons allow the headboard to move with the seasons. A discreet German connector system lets the frame come apart for transport.
Made by me, from start to finish
I make each piece in Kerikeri, working through the design, timber selection, joinery and finish. We’ll discuss the details before making begins.
The story behind Vanessa
Soft and gentle curves characterise the Vanessa handmade bed frame.The headboard is solid timber, with the curve detail patiently scraped and smoothed by hand. This curve detail is reversed to play in the rear of the back legs, creating interest, flow and a truly unique design.
Being solid timber, the headboard will move seasonally. The Oak dowels peg slotted tenons to allow the headboard to move gracefully throughout the seasons.Pictured here with an optional shelf to store books, coffee mugs etc.
The Vanessa bed frame is sized to fit your mattress and desired bed height.It is easily dissembled for transport and is joined with a quality, discreet German connector system.
