The Vaeda handmade dining table, a tastefully crafted piece featuring splayed legs and a Scandinavian-inspired design. The sleek and modern aesthetic is accentuated by the crisp under bevel beneath the tabletop, adding a touch of sophistication to any dining area.
Delving beneath the surface, the under structure of these handmade dining tables is as intriguing as the intricate grain patterning on the top, with cross halving joints that contribute both aesthetically and structurally.
Originally built for my sister-in-law, who was expecting our children’s first cousin, baby Vaeda, this table was crafted in our single-car garage in Melbourne. Since then, after designing and building the first edition in our single car garage in Melbourne, this piece has become a firm favourite. One I enjoy building year after year.
What appeals about the Vaeda is its understated elegance—light on its feet yet solid in stance. I look forward to continuing to craft this table for years to come, knowing it will be part of many youngsters’ lives.
